Offshore trips leave the dock at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 5:30 AM and return around 4:00 to 5:00 PM. On the morning of the trip, Captain Krage will give you your fishing options based on what's biting and the weather. The Fin Galley primarily trolls natural baits and provides all bait, tackle and ice for your day's catch.

Our tackle selection ranges from spinning tackle right on up to 130 lb. class rods and reels. This will enable your party for any type of fishing situation that occurs. The Fin Galley has on open bridge policy, so come on up and shoot the bull and see things the way Captain Krage does.

Inshore striper trips are offered from Late November thru March. These trips can be booked as full or half days.

The Fin Galley is licensed for up to 6 people. Anglers of all ages are welcome, but please consider the weather and sea conditions when bringing along small children.

Trips will only be cancelled by the Captain due to high winds and rough sea conditions. Refunds cannot be made in advance. Cancellations within three weeks prior to the trip will only be refunded at the Captain's discretion.

The mate depends on tips. Many people have asked "What is the appropriate tip for the mate?". Generally, tip like you would in a restaurant, 15% to 20% of the charter fee. More or less depending on the service at your discretion.

Bring enough food and beverages to satisfy your hunger urges. Jackets (depending on the weather), sunglasses (polarized enhance your view), soft sole shoes, sunscreen, cameras and a whole bucket of smiles. Your catch will be kept in the insulated fish box aboard the boat. But you will need to bring coolers to take your catch home.

During the summer months, fish cleaning services are readily available at the Fishing Center. Fish cleaning services during the winter striper season is not always guaranteed.

The Ships Store opens at 5:00 AM and has most everything you forgot to bring for your day of fishing. North Carolina Law prohibits the sale of alcohol before 7:00 AM Daily and 12:00 noon on Sundays.

In addition to Fish Cleaning Services, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center also offers Taxidermy and Photographic services.

If you don't have enough people to justify booking the whole boat, call the Fishing Center and put together a "Make Up" trip.
